Here is my brand new limited edition print, available exclusively at 20x200. The prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish, and are available in 3 sizes.

Illustrations for Nature - DNA Barcodes

Here are some illustrations I did for the current issue of Nature: The International Journal of Science. The images were created for an article about DNA barcodes and the fact that mitochondrial sequences - such as those that give rise to each species's unique bar code - might actually be linked to the way species evolve. The images were created using ink.

French Institute Drawing

Crathes Castle

Here is a drawing of Crathes Castle, a 16th Century castle near Banchory in Aberdeenshire. This is something that I've wanted to draw for a while. I visit Banchory every so often, and the castle is always an impressive sight.

I often create a lot of sketchbook work. Some of the work inspires future prints and drawings, some might be returned to at a later date to be reworked and some will probably remain forever inside the pages of my sketchbooks. Irn-Bru have released a limited edition can to celebrate Homecoming Scotland 2009. The can features the original 1947 Irn-Bru logo. Here's a little drawing of it!

Waitrose Food Illustrated

This is an illustration that features in the September issue of Waitrose Food Illustrated. The illustration is for a regular feature in the magazine called 'Katy Tastes'. For this issue, the article was about Cornish Sea Salt. Commissioned through Private View Agency.

Esquire September '09

An illustration for the September issue of Esquire magazine, for an article about the abundance of celebrity panel shows on TV.

Nature Magazine

Here are some illustrations that were commissioned by Nature Magazine. For the top image, I was asked to create an image in the style of an architectural blueprint to illustrate the curves of cell membranes. The second image was commissioned a while ago, but like the blueprint image, it shows a slightly different illustration style, combining collage and hand-drawn elements. This image was for an article about Levy Flights.

I'm very pleased to announce that 20x200 have just released 2 limited editions prints of my work. The original drawings were created for the Designersblock: Illustrate Festival where I made over 60 colour pencil drawings of electrical and industrial paraphernalia found within the venue space, nearby underground stations and surrounding area.

After 8 years of living in London, I'm finally moving back to my home city of Glasgow next week. Although I'm really looking forward to continuing my illustration work while being closer to my family and the Scottish countryside, I've loved living in London as it's provided a lot of inspiration over the last few years.
